Starting another cheapo com.Just 2 banjar and 5 silver. So far so good and they doesnt seen to mind about swimming together in the tank.

Boss, mind sharing what are the things (from aros selection to tanks preparation) to look out for in preparation for a possibly, highly successful peaceful comm tank?

All around 4-5 inches for banjar and 6 inches for silvers. As today, they are still swimming together in there peacefully. Some of the silvers are already taking pellets.
Basic set up of the tank is like any other aquarium. Proper filtration and areation. But the most important part is to cover up whatever holes available there to prevent the small one from jumping out. Then follow by making sure that the tankmates wont pose any threat to the aros.
I suggest lights left on for the tank 24/7 till they are stable. Brighter tank and darker outside make them feel more secure.

Now, you make me itchy, thinking of getting silver aro for my comm tank. Mai tu liao. Silvers got their own set of beauty. Especially the bigger one which hit more than 2 feet.

Now still yellowish. And for an update, this com of mine is taking hikari goldfish floating pellets as their main diet.
